Source gate
A comic can publish with two credible public source URLs or one primary or official source. Aggregator-only links, weak rumors, and unverifiable claims are rejected.
Editorial standards
DrawnNews is a comic interpretation layer. It is not a wire service, a reporting staff, or a source of hidden evidence.
AI label
Every comic is labeled as an AI-generated editorial comic. DrawnNews does not invent human authors, artists, or reporters.
Fact boundary
The image may simplify a real story visually, but the captions and source list must not add facts beyond the linked source material.
Sensitivity rule
The generator skips stories where comic treatment would be reckless: mass death, sexual violence, self-harm, hostage cases, child abuse, or similar acute harm.
Style rule
The art direction changes constantly. The house style is comic newsprint, but the execution should not collapse into one repeated visual formula.
Correction rule
If a source link breaks or a story is materially wrong, the manifest entry can be marked failed or corrected. Bad records are not silently rewritten into clean history.
